Amazon Tool

Amazon Main Image Checker

Check your main product photo against Amazon's base image rules before upload. Analysis runs locally in your browser, then groups blockers, warnings, and manual-review items into one preflight view.

Privacy
Your image is decoded and analyzed on-device. There is no upload pipeline or backend dependency in this tool.
What it checks
Format, transparency, minimum and recommended dimensions, white-background confidence, crop coverage, border risk, text-overlay risk, and blur risk.
What it does not guarantee
It cannot replace Seller Central review or category-specific style guides. Manual review is still required before publish.

Amazon image requirements

The core rules this checker is built around

This page focuses on the most common Amazon main-image rejection points for sellers: white background, tight crop, no overlays, and valid upload dimensions.

White background
Amazon expects a pure white main-image background. The checker estimates background whiteness from edge pixels and flags likely gray casts or color contamination.
Product fills the frame
The product should occupy roughly 85% of the frame. The tool estimates coverage so loose crops can be fixed before upload.
No overlays or borders
Main images should not include text, badges, logos, watermarks, frames, or inset boxes. Overlay and border checks are best-effort heuristic signals.
Zoom-friendly dimensions
The longest side should be at least 1,000 px for zoom and ideally 1,600 px or more. The checker also flags anything above Amazon's 10,000 px maximum.

How it works

Browser-side Amazon image preflight

  1. 1

Upload one JPG, PNG, TIFF, or non-animated GIF file.

  2. 2

QuickPrepMedia decodes the image locally in your browser. No file is sent to a server.

  3. 3

Deterministic checks run first for format, readability, transparency, and pixel dimensions.

  4. 4

Heuristic checks run next for background whiteness, product coverage, border risk, text-overlay risk, and blur risk.

  5. 5

The page groups blockers, warnings, passes, and manual-review items so you can fix the highest-risk issues first.
