  • No upload — runs in your browser
  • Free, no account
  • Any file type, ZIPs opened
  • Up to 100 files and 1 GB
  • Files stored as they are, never recompressed

Drop your files here, or click to browse

Any file type. A ZIP is opened so you can see what's inside.

Up to 100 files and 1 GB in total

Your files stay in this browser and are never uploaded.

Where are the files going?

A destination adds its own rules to the tool. With no destination, none is applied. You can change it at any time.

How to bundle your files into a download pack

  1. Add your files

Drop in the files you deliver, of any type, up to 100 files and 1 GB in total. A ZIP is opened so you can see what's inside, remove system files or unpack it.

  2. Check what goes in

With no destination, every file goes into one ZIP, under a name that opens on any computer, and you can rename any of them. Selling on Etsy? Choose Etsy, and the plan says what to upload to your listing instead.

  3. Prepare and download

Press Prepare files, then download the ZIP. Under Etsy, download each file and upload it to your listing.

How the pack works

The pack takes the files you deliver — to buyers, clients or readers, from a shop, a website or an email — and bundles them into one ZIP, before anything leaves your browser.

The files are stored in the ZIP as they are, without recompressing them, so each one comes out exactly as it went in, and the ZIP's size is known before it is written. Images, PDFs and most media are already compressed, so a ZIP would barely make them smaller anyway.

Names inside the ZIP are made safe for every computer: characters that some systems don't allow in a file name become underscores, accents and other letters are kept, and two files with the same name are told apart with a number. You can rename any file.

An optional instructions file goes inside the ZIP, after your files, and lists them. You write its text; the list of files is filled in for you.

Limits worth knowing

  • Up to 100 files and 1 GB in total, of any type.
  • A ZIP can be kept as one file or unpacked one level. A ZIP with password-protected files is kept as it is.
  • With no destination, the pack is one ZIP, however large: it isn't split into parts.
  • Under Etsy: up to 5 files per digital listing, each up to 20 MB, as Etsy states. The optional instructions file counts as one of them.
  • Under Etsy, no file over Etsy's per-file limit, and no set beyond its file count, is ever offered as ready to upload.

Selling a digital download on Etsy

Choose Etsy as the destination, in the tool or in the table below, and the pack plans the files an Etsy digital listing can deliver instead of one ZIP.

Etsy's limits for a digital listing

What Etsy states about the files of a digital listing. Choose Etsy and the pack plans your files within these limits.

Etsy

Files per listing
Up to 5 files
Size per file
Up to 20 MB each
File types
.bmp, .doc, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .mobi, .mov, .mp3, .mpeg, .pdf, .png, .psp, .rtf, .stl, .txt, .zip, .ePUB, .iBook
File names
Up to 70 characters: letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores and dots

When every file is of a type Etsy lists and within its size limit, and there are few enough of them, they go to the buyer as they are, not zipped. On a phone, a buyer may need another app to open a ZIP, so a ZIP is used only when it has to be.

Otherwise the files are packed into ZIP parts, each within Etsy's 20 MB, and the files keep their order inside each part. A file of a type Etsy doesn't list always goes inside a ZIP.

Each file gets a name that follows Etsy's file-name rule: accents are removed, other characters become hyphens, and the name keeps its extension within 70 characters. You see the proposed name and can change it.

A ZIP doesn't make a file smaller, so a file over Etsy's 20 MB can't be delivered, zipped or not. Make an image file smaller with Compress Image first.

Download pack FAQ

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Your files are read, named and zipped in your browser, and they are never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. The page fetches parts of its own code from this site as you use it; your files are never part of that.

What does the pack make?

One ZIP with every file you added, plus the instructions file if you turn it on. No platform's limits are applied. Choose a destination such as Etsy and the pack plans for that platform's limits instead.

Does the ZIP make my files smaller?

No. The files are stored in the ZIP without recompressing them, so each one comes out exactly as it went in. Images, PDFs and most media are already compressed. To make a file smaller, use a tool made for it, such as an image compressor.

What happens to my file names?

They're kept, with any character that some computers don't allow in a file name turned into an underscore, so the files open on Windows, macOS, Linux, phones and tablets. Accents and other letters are kept. Two files with the same name are told apart with a number, and you can rename any file.

What is the instructions file?

An optional text file that lists the files. It is written in the language of this page and you can edit its text. In the one ZIP it goes after your files; under Etsy it is a file of its own, says how to download the files, and counts as one of the files in your listing.

What does choosing Etsy change?

An Etsy digital listing delivers a few files, each within a size limit. Under Etsy, the pack checks each file against Etsy's limits, gives it an Etsy-safe name, delivers the files as they are when it can and in ZIP parts when it must, and says when a set can't be one listing. With no destination, none of that applies.

How many files can an Etsy digital listing have?

Etsy allows up to 5 files per digital listing, and each file can be up to 20 MB. Under Etsy, the pack plans for both limits, read from the Etsy help centre pages linked on this page.

Why aren't my files always zipped on Etsy?

On a phone or tablet, a buyer may need a file manager or another app to unzip a ZIP file, and the Etsy app can't download a digital purchase at all. So when your files fit a listing one by one, they go to the buyer as they are.

How are the ZIP parts made for Etsy?

The largest files are placed first, each in the first part with room for it, so few parts are needed and every part stays within Etsy's 20 MB. Inside each part the files keep the order you added them in, and the parts are named after your pack.

What does the Etsy-safe name change?

Etsy states that a file name can use letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores and dots, up to 70 characters. The pack removes accents, turns any other character into a hyphen, keeps the extension and shortens the name to fit. Two files that would get the same name are told apart with a number. You can edit any name.

What if Etsy doesn't list my file type?

Etsy lists these file types: .bmp, .doc, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .mobi, .mov, .mp3, .mpeg, .pdf, .png, .psp, .rtf, .stl, .txt, .zip, .ePUB, .iBook. A file of another type goes to the buyer inside a ZIP, a type Etsy lists. That is our reading of Etsy's list, not a rule Etsy states.

What if a file is over Etsy's size limit?

It can't be delivered on Etsy, zipped or not: a ZIP stores a file without making it smaller. The pack names the files that are too large and links to the tools that can make them smaller, such as compressing an image or splitting a long PDF.

Should I upload the ZIP from Download all to Etsy?

No. Download all as one ZIP saves every prepared file in one ZIP for your own copy. Upload the files inside it to your listing, as the plan lists them.
